Christian Roth is a renowned media psychologist, researcher, and lecturer with a specialization in interactive narrative design and meaningful game design. He currently teaches at HKU Games & Interaction and is a co-founder of GameCamp Berlin. His expertise includes consultancy in transformative user experience design and the evaluation of interactive narratives, games, and virtual realities.
Christian Roth pursued his education at Gymnasium Wentorf for high school, obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Media Psychology/Communication Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), and completed his Diplom in Psychologie at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg.
Throughout his career, Christian Roth has been associated with various organizations including DELTA Innovative Learning where he serves as the Founder. He has also held positions as a Researcher and Lecturer at HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht) and as a Co-Founder and Co-Organizer at GameCamp Berlin. Previously, he worked as a PhD Researcher at VU University Amsterdam, contributed to research and project management for the IRIS EU Project at VU University - Center for Advanced Media Research, and served as a Research Assistant for the FUGA EU Project at Institut für Journalismus und Kommunikationsforschung (IJK).
