Education and Early Career

Maynard-Philipp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Management and Political Science from the University of Oregon, along with a Master's Degree in Economic Development from George Mason University's School of Public Policy. His expertise in regulatory compliance was further enhanced through his studies at the FINRA Institute at Georgetown University.

Professional Experience

Before founding Pattern Financial, he served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Cash App Investing at Square. His career also includes roles such as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Third Party Technologies and Acorns & Vault Investing. Additionally, he has experience as the policy director at Oregon State Treasury and has worked as an economic policy intern at the Center for American Progress.1
