Chris Thorup, Chief Commercial Officer at Spiio

Chris Thorup is the Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Spiio, an IoT technology company in the turf and agricultural industry.124 Thorup has worked in various roles within the tech industry since 2014, beginning their career as a Fellow at POINT B DESIGN AND TRAINING.1

Thorup has a diverse educational background, holding a Master's Degree in Sustainable Design from Aalborg University, a Master's Degree in Engineering Design from Aalto University, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Environmental Management from Roskilde University, a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences & Economics from Háskóli Íslands, and having been a student in Global Business Engineering from Ingeniør Højskolen I København.1 They are also a Certified Dangerous Goods Professional (CDGP) from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).1

As CCO, Thorup has been instrumental in driving Spiio's sales and marketing efforts worldwide.25 In 2021, Thorup announced a distribution partnership between Spiio and Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply for the US golf market.25
