As the Associate Pastor at a 400 person church I provided leadership and vision for the men's and women's ministries, children's ministry, and small group ministries; overall coordinating and directing over 100 volunteers as well as interacting with other staff level leadership.

► Led a change in the format and emphasis of our small groups programs yielding a raise in participation of the church community from 5% to over 65%.

► Formed a children’s ministry team that helped to take a ministry with an ineffective curriculum resulting in behavioral issues and bored children and move it toward a ministry with an exciting, Biblically sound curriculum that engaged children at an age appropriate level resulting in an experience that excites both children and teachers.   

► Shared in preaching, counseling, and other pastoral ministries with the lead pastor and took over a lead role in these ministries upon the resignation of the lead pastor for 6 months prior to the start of an intentional interim pastor.

Associate Pastor

Worked as part of an agile systems engineering and administration team responsible for developing and maintaining the global computing infrastructure of Rosetta Stone.  Designed and implemented a global 700 person Active Directory and Exchange environment.  Performed cost analysis and directed purchase of a new SAN based storage platform.  Developed a VMWare Infrastructure based virtualization environment in an effort to promote agility, decrease complexity, and reduce cost.  Managed a project to design and build a world class server room at our global headquarters.

► Utilized Linux and Windows system administration skills to help redesign and improve the infrastructure of one of the fastest growing companies in the US.

► Functioned as part of the ship's leadership team, advising the Director of Operations and the CIO, and representing the ship at official functions, meetings with individuals, and meetings with groups ranging from local IT vendors to high-ranking government officials.

► Held various maritime roles including: commanding a lifeboat, serving as a fire team leader, serving on the man overboard team, and assuming navigational watch keeping responsibilities at sea.

Led a team of 3-5 people responsible for prototyping advanced image progressing algorithms.  This role consisted of using leadership skills, programming skills, and system administration skills.  Global travel and significant customer interaction were an important aspect in addition to presentations to audiences ranging from peers to boards of MD’s and GE Executives.  I was one of the founding members of the entrepreneurial-like Cardiac CT program and developed a system that enabled GEMS to achieve market presence faster and in more force than competitors in both the Cardiac CT as well as the 8-slice and 16-slice scanning fields. 

► Awarded 4 US, and several foreign, patents in the areas of 3D imaging and cardiac CT imaging. 

► Prepared a comprehensive resource schedule for the IQTB to support both internal infrastructure and project commitments. 

► 2001 Recipient of the International Society of Pediatric Radiology’s John Caffey Award for Best Basic Research Paper.
