Chris Petersen

Chris Petersen is an accomplished aviation expert with a strong background in air cargo, airline business development, and technology innovation. With a Master's Degree in Aviation Management and a Commercial Pilot License, Petersen brings his experience and know-how to the table as a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Transportation Club.

Throughout his career, Petersen has succeeded in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating sharp decision-making skills and the ability to recognize and assess potential commercial opportunities. He has experience in customer success, data analytics and metrics, commercial and air cargo, flight operations, leveraging AI and machine learning in strategy, innovation and change management, team building, start-ups, entrepreneurship, and more.

Petersen founded and launched VenueSpace, an online marketplace for event spaces in 2012. Previously, he received recognition as a Xerox Top Gun & President's Club member in 2008 and founded a boutique IT service and software development startup, InBloom Technologies, in 2004.

Currently working as Sr. Manager, Domestic Business Development at Cargojet, Petersen has also held positions in sales, business development, management consulting, and piloting at companies such as CH Robinson, Air Canada, Tilgreen Aviation Inc., CaseBank Technologies Inc., and Skywords.
