Chris is also the founder of Start Up Republic, which focuses on fostering student entrepreneurship and enterprise. Additionally, he founded Caribou Digital, a consultancy that builds ethical and sustainable emerging market digital economies, with clients including the MasterCard Foundation, DFID, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.23
Recent Appointment
As of June 2024, Chris Locke has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Internet Society Foundation. In this role, he oversees the strategic vision and provides programmatic, financial, and operational leadership to support initiatives that strengthen the Internet's function and reach, aligning with the Internet Society’s vision of an Internet for everyone.23
