Chris K. Achar

Chris K. Achar is an accomplished American healthcare executive and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the biotech sector. He established himself as the Founder and CEO of Genzum Life Sciences by implementing innovative product development and licensing strategies, which effectively led the company to achieve FDA approval. With a history of transformative leadership, Chris has scaled the organization from an early stage R&D firm to a remarkable enterprise with a robust pipeline of FDA-targeted products and licensing partnerships with various top-notch pharmaceutical companies.

Besides his significant contributions to Genzum, Chris is also the Founder of Synergy Ventures, a biotech venture fund that has invested in multiple groundbreaking health-focused startups, including Ocugen Pharma, PulseBiosciences, and Imprimis Pharmaceuticals.

Recently, Chris co-led Cue Health's Series B financing, joined as a Board Member, and became an Operating Partner, where he works closely with Cue's founders. In his current role, Chris is spearheading the commercialization efforts of Cue's COVID-19 test with various organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Health and Human Services, and State and Local Governments. Additionally, he is overseeing several crucial strategic partnerships with renowned institutions, such as Mayo Clinic, the NBA, and Henry Schein Medical.
