Chi Achebe

Chi Achebe is the Founder and Managing Partner of Achebe Capital, a seed stage VC fund focusing on bridging Diaspora communities with investments in Africa, the African Diaspora, and New Americans. Their areas of focus include Care, Climate Action, Commerce, and Culture with a target of 50:50 gender parity. Achebe Capital has notable investors like Melinda French Gates and a portfolio that features prominent companies like Bamboo, Brex, FilmHedge, Flutterwave, Juno Medical, Mono, Republic, and Sabi. Prior to founding Achebe Capital, Chi led global Go-To-Market strategy at Google, worked on VC fund performance tracking at Citi Bank, founded a health tech startup in South Africa, and established The Anzisha Prize, an entrepreneurship award anchored by The MasterCard Foundation and African Leadership Group. Chi holds a BA with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
