Charles Goetz is a well-known figure in the world of entrepreneurship and business development. Prior to his career in academia, Goetz started and built nine successful ventures, and has since invested in new businesses and sat on private business and non-profit boards. As a professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at Emory University, Goetz teaches in various parts of the world and has authored three books, including a political thriller titled Angels of Conspiracy. He is also known for developing a mathematical model called "Marketnomics" which helps quantify customer value by product features for effective product design. Goetz is a recipient of several honors and awards, including the Donald Keough Award and the Distinguished Lecturer Award.
