Prior to Sen, Charles established Nasstar plc in 1998, a prominent cloud computing company focused on serving businesses. Nasstar plc went public on the London Stock Exchange AIM in 2005 and later underwent strategic expansions through acquisitions.

Charles Black's strategic leadership led Nasstar plc to acquire e-know.net through a reverse takeover in 2014, further enhancing its position in the hosted desktop services sector.

After successful growth and development of Nasstar plc, Charles Black transitioned from his role as CEO. In 2020, Nasstar plc was acquired by a private equity firm for a substantial amount of £80 million.

Charles Black's educational background includes studying Bar exams in Law at the Inns of Court School of Law, obtaining a 2.1 LLB in Law from Queen Mary University of London, and attending St Peter's School.
