    Associate Director, Cell Therapy Process Development at MD Anderson Cancer Center

    Chantale Bernatchez is an experienced immunologist with a strong background in basic immunology, specializing in tumor immunology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX since 2007.

    She has been actively involved in adoptive T-cell therapy studies to treat melanoma and other solid tumor types, overseeing the production of tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) cell therapy products meeting good manufacturing practices (GMP) standards.

    Chantale's research focuses on identifying biomarkers of response to TIL therapy for melanoma, extending TIL therapy to other solid tumors, and developing processes to streamline T-cell manufacturing for wider accessibility and quicker regulatory approval.

    With a PhD in Immunology from Université Laval, Chantale has held various positions at MD Anderson Cancer Center, including Associate Director of Cell Therapy Process Development, Associate Professor, and roles as Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher.

    She has also worked at Bio-Quant, Inc. as a Research Scientist and at CHUL research center as a Post-Doctoral fellow.
