Chad Buccine, P.E.

Chad Buccine is a Principal and the Founder of Jolt Engineering, a firm specializing in design and engineering services for commercial solar and storage projects. He has over a decade of experience in the solar energy sector, having held various roles including engineering director and operations director at companies like BP Solar and NRG Energy. His expertise encompasses both development and engineering, and he has been involved in the design and installation of over 15,000 solar projects, totaling more than 200 MW of capacity, with project sizes ranging from 2 kW to 37 MW.12

Buccine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in several states, including California, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Maryland, and is also NABCEP certified.23 His work at Jolt Engineering focuses on client engagement, project specification, and managing partnerships, utilizing technology to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the engineering process.3
