Dr. Carolyn J. Stefanco is a respected figure in higher education with over two decades of experience as a history professor and varied leadership roles in public and private American universities.

Her expertise spans women's leadership, international education, and nonprofit governance, making her a sought-after expert in these areas in the U.S. and globally.

Dr. Stefanco's work has a strong global focus, evident through her experience as a Senior Fulbright Scholar, resident director of a London Study Program, and consultant for various international projects.

As a college president, she established numerous partnerships between American and international universities, and enhanced international student recruitment efforts.

Beyond her global engagements, Dr. Stefanco has dedicated herself to promoting women's leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion through the creation of programs like the Women’s Leadership Institute at The College of Saint Rose.
