Caroline Cotto is a versatile professional with a diverse background in food innovation, entrepreneurship, and social impact. Her journey spans from working as a White House intern for Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative to becoming a regenerative farmer in Italy and a venture-backed entrepreneur. Currently, she serves as the Director of NECTAR at Food System Innovations, focusing on accelerating the protein transition while maintaining taste. Caroline is also a Board Member at Renewal Mill, a startup she co-founded to upcycle food waste, and an Emeritus Board Member of the Upcycled Food Association.
Caroline's experience extends to mentoring startups in various sectors such as food, tech, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and circular economy through programs like Techstars and Princeton START Innovators. With a background in Human Science from Georgetown University, she has been recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 (Food & Drink) list and the 50 Best Restaurants' 50 NEXT lists. Outside of work, Caroline enjoys outdoor activities like rock climbing, biking, running, and cooking with friends.
