Carolee Winstein
Carolee Winstein is an expert in the fields of Neurorehabilitation, Motor Learning, Motor Control, and Neuroplasticity for Rehabilitation. She studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Southern California, where she obtained her PhD in Kinesiology. Over the years, Winstein has held several academic positions, including Professor of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy and Graduate Student at UCLA. Winstein has also directed numerous research projects, including the Brain and Behavioral Correlates of Arm Rehabilitation and the Interdisciplinary Study of Neuroplasticity in Stroke Rehabilitation. Her work has been supported by DoE/NIDRR and NINDS, among other organizations. She has also worked in collaboration with companies such as Northstar Inc. and AMI on stroke recovery projects. Overall, Winstein's work has contributed significantly to the advancement of neurorehabilitation and has helped many people regain movement and independence after injury.
