Carole Howard
Former Councillor & High Sheriff at Belfast City Council
Carole Howard is a former councillor and High Sheriff of Belfast who has served in various political roles in Northern Ireland.23 She was previously a member of the Alliance Party and represented the Titanic electoral area in east Belfast.1 Howard later defected from the Alliance Party to join the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) in December 2021.1
During her political career, Howard has:

Howard has been vocal about issues in council meetings, including instances where she reported being called "scum" and "bigots" in the chamber.4 She has also been involved in efforts to improve transparency, such as attempting to record council meetings.4
Currently, Howard describes herself as a former Belfast City Councillor for the Titanic DEA (District Electoral Area) and is involved with the District Policing and Community Safety Partnership (DPCSP).2
