TechHire is a national network of communities working to create pathways for overlooked and underrepresented Americans to gain skills and access to open technical jobs across the country. TechHire was launched in 21 communities by President Barack Obama at the 2015 National League of Cities conference - and has been gaining momentum ever since. When TechHire formally transitioned from the Obama White House to Opportunity@Work in December 2016, the network had expanded to 72 communities, states and rural regions across America.

The current TechHire communities now have a collective network of 237 training partners and 1,300 employers across the 72 cities, states, and rural areas. TechHire communities have collectively helped over 4,000 people connect to well-paying tech jobs. 

Atlanta is a TechHire Community and a recipient of the TechHire Grant.
TechHire ATL is a 4M Department of Labor Grant to train 450 people in software
development by 2020. There are multiple training options available and we are currently
enrolling participants in training through our Eligible Training Providers.

Created store website using Wordpress and custom HTML, and CSS. Implemented features such as maps, bookings, and contact form.

Designed business stationery, promotional material, and catalog using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. 

Developed a non-invasive teeth whitening procedure that allowed our clients to whiten their teeth on-site, achieving professional results within 30 minutes. 

Successfully planned, launched and operated 3 brick and mortar teeth whitening locations. 

Purchased supplies directly from manufacturers, and effectively negotiated and secured a multi-store deal with Simon Malls, that allowed us to offer our services for 25% less than our competitors, without sacrificing margins and profitability.

Hired 30+ employees and trained them on teeth whitening services and procedures, as well as, sales and customer service best practices. 

Achieved a solid month-to-month average growth of 15% by implementing creative marketing strategies, including, but not limited to, online campaigns, referral incentives, and gift certificates.
