Carlos Fernandez de la Peña

Carlos de la Peña is a seasoned executive in the space industry with a strong focus on management, strategy, and business development. With a Bachelor's degree in Physics, a Master's in Computer Science, and an advanced degree in General Management from IESE Business School, he co-founded space company Deimos in 2001, where he successfully launched two Earth Observation satellites, closed contracts in four continents, and grew the company to over 300 employees. Carlos also worked as a project manager for the European Space Agency and sold Deimos to the Elecnor Group in Spain in 2009.
Carlos's expertise includes sales, business development, and management, and he has held positions such as Director of Business Development and VP of Sales LATAM, Spain, Portugal at UrtheCast, and COO at HEAD Aerospace Group. He is currently the VP of Satellite Data and Services at Open Cosmos and the former CEO and founder of Raddish Labs. Carlos also holds a wealth of leadership experience as a former Business Unit Director and Co-founder at Elecnor Deimos. His fluency in English, native Spanish-speaking abilities, and basic knowledge of Portuguese allow him to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues worldwide.
