Carl S. Spetzler, with a career spanning over 40 years, is a renowned figure in decision consulting, recognized for his expertise in strategic decision making.
He is the founder and current chairman of Strategic Decisions Group, established in 1981, and has made significant contributions in the realms of decision quality, corporate strategy, governance processes, risk management, and major capital expenditure decisions.
Apart from his role at SDG, he is also deeply involved in academia and educational initiatives, having founded the Decision Education Foundation (DEF) to impart decision-making skills to young individuals.
Carl Spetzler holds a PhD in Business and Economics as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering, both attained from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Throughout his career, he has held various key positions in prestigious organizations such as Strategic Decisions Group, Texas Executive Education, Society of Decision Professionals, Illinois Institute of Technology, and The Decision Education Foundation, showcasing his influence and leadership in decision science.
