Lead UXDI Instructor at General Assembly
Candace Rogue is the Lead UXDI Instructor at General Assembly, where she teaches user experience design. She describes herself as a "Jill of All Trades," with a diverse background that includes both front-end development and UX/UI design. Prior to her role at General Assembly, she served as a lead front-end engineer on the product team at Blavity, Inc., which focuses on content for Black millennials. Additionally, she has experience managing a $6 million territory for an international fashion brand.1
In her current position, Candace is dedicated to mentoring emerging designers and developers, helping them build confidence and prepare for careers in technology. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys painting, watching Netflix, and enhancing her skills in design and coding.12 Candace holds a degree from Howard University, which adds to her qualifications in the tech field.2
