Calvin Cheng

Dr. Calvin Cheng is a technology entrepreneur and executive with a Ph.D. in nanomaterials chemistry and over 11 years of professional experience.

He currently serves as the CTO and Co-Founder at Edgehog, a pioneering clean tech company based in Montreal, Canada, and also holds the position of President of the board of directors at Pueblo Science.

Dr. Cheng has been recognized with prestigious awards including the 2020 CES Climate Change Innovation Award, 2019 C2 Emerging Entrepreneur Award, 2018 Mitacs Outstanding Entrepreneur Award, and the 2017 University of Toronto Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Materials/Physical Chemistry, an MSc in Biophysical Chemistry with a specialization in Optics, and a BASc in Biomedical Engineering, all from the University of Toronto.
