Accountant at Foundation North

Foundation North (formerly ASB Community Trust) is Australasia’s largest philanthropic funder. Founded on the sale of its shares in the ASB Bank, it has invested funds of over $1.6 billion and an annual grants budget of approximately $56 million to support the communities of Auckland and Northland. In this role I oversee the day to day finance function for the Foundation and subsidiaries, as well as all financial and business performance reporting and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, annual statutory audit and business partnering to the executive leadership team and subject matter expert to the wider organisation, as well as being part of the extended leadership group.

It sells a large range of “Lifestyle” casual clothing as well supplying team wear to a variety of sporting teams from local clubs, provincial to international teams. In this role I was responsible for the preparation of financial statements and management reporting, annual budgets/forecasting, audit, inventory management, variance analysis/reconciliations as well as sponsorship payments/contras accounting.

FCm Travel Solutions is a travel management company providing comprehensive, tailored travel solutions to a range of businesses, from the large corporates to the small enterprise. In this role I was responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including monthly team P&L's, budgets, forecasting, and business partnering across the organization.

Thirty Seven South Ltd is the South Pacific’s leading international super yacht management and services company. The company supplies goods and services to foreign and local super yachts ranging from food and beverage, marine equipment, project management, to luxury charter and brokerage. Trans Pacific Marine, established in 1963, is New Zealand’s largest marine chart and nautical publication retail company. In this role I was responsible for the overall financial management of both companies and subsidiaries reporting to common directors/owners. This included preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, liaison with tax advisors and IRD, payroll administration, finance staff management, cash management/foreign exchange.
