HIGHLIGHTS:

✦  Driving culture change at IBM, working across the company to engage 380K+ employees at every level in support of the organization’s business strategy and growth initiatives – growing employee engagement 22% over the past 3 years.
✦  Redesigned editorial strategy to present a simplified, clear narrative and cross-functional, global campaign building momentum around transformational progress and providing clarity through one of the largest transformations in the tech industry, resulting in improved employee clarity, momentum and internal and external employee advocacy.  
✦  Co-led employer brand marketing with advertising and HR to deliver more than 30 employee stories into print, social (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook Live), digital (both external and internal storytelling) in 6 months, and 150 advocates for deployment.
✦  Created and led global communications program which engaged 270,000 employees in cross-company program, leading to pitch of 50+ viable business concepts to line executives, and immediate two-point increase in employee engagement
✦  Built a cross-functional team to identify, educate and enable a community of 150+ employee advocates; equipped with social media sharing skills and technology leading to improved social media reach of curated IBM news.

Director, WW Workforce Communications and Employee Experience Design

Reported to VP WW Sales Communications.  Led a team of exec comms, internal comms, media relations and analyst relations professionals with the mission to create belief, action and advocacy amongst sellers. Charged with leading strategic change initiatives. Invoked video broadcasts, speech writing, executive communications, community and stakeholder development.

✦  Collaborated with sales and marketing leaders to drive clarity and build a cohesive sales culture focused on winning, over cadence leading to a 15% YTY growth in SMB business
✦  Designed and ran a leadership forum and redesigned communications to speed large organizational transformation whilst undergoing senior executive leadership transition. Maintained employee engagement across the sales force at all levels and retained 100% managing executives across all regions. 
✦  Expanded midmarket influencer / thought leadership program beyond traditional analysts – resulting in new relationships with academia, local and state government, and VCs; driving double-digit advocacy increase in social channels.
✦  Led marketing-communications strategy and experience design of the “IBM Client Experience Jam” to co-define with employees our company’s culture, leading to the publication of an addendum to IBM’s values called our “Practices”

Work with IBM's country Marketing and Communications Leaders and local Brand System and Workforce Enablement (internal communications) teams to bring the IBM Brand System and Corporate Character to life regionally. 

Build a system and related programs to ensure that regional teams are getting the right information, resources and collaboration to close gaps that have been identified locally.  Work with the regional teams to gather requirements for major global initiatives and work to streamline tools and techniques that our country teams need to get work done.

My role was to help connect the strategy and planning being developed at our corporate headquarters, and ensure we delivered a consistent, meaningful, memorable experience in the over 170 countries where IBM operates.
