Alison Anderson is a dedicated mother and accomplished computer science teacher with an extensive background in education. She currently teaches at Central Catholic High School in Portland, where she shares her expertise in subjects like APCSP with her students. Alison is a proud Marquette University alumnus with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching. She continued to pursue her passion for education at Portland State University, where she earned a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction.
Throughout her career, Alison has held various roles in diverse educational institutions including being an Instructor at Concordia University-Portland and a Technology Teacher at Holy Cross Catholic School. Before joining Central Catholic's faculty, Alison was Managing Editor at Getting Smart and Media Specialist at The Madeleine School.
Alison's vast experience, knowledge and dedication to her field position her as a top-notch educator. She remains committed to her work in teaching and is an enthusiastic advocate for Computer Science education. Alison is a Southside Chicago native and has a great affiliation with the #WeAreMarquette movement. She has also been an active participant in edcampPDX, an educational workshop for teachers to improve their teaching skills.
