Amber McCulloch, Ed.D. is an experienced education professional specializing in K-12 science education.2 She previously served as the K-12 Science Specialist at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction in Washington State, where she supported statewide efforts to implement the state's Science Learning Standards, which are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards.1
Dr. McCulloch has an extensive educational background, including:
- A Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from the University of Washington
- Undergraduate degrees in Communications and Elementary Education

Currently, Amber McCulloch holds the position of Executive Director of Learning, Teaching, and Family Support K–Postsecondary at Puget Sound Educational Service District.1 In this role, she provides systemic support to 35 school districts, as well as charter schools and tribal compact schools in the greater Seattle area, serving approximately 40% of Washington State's student population.1
Dr. McCulloch is passionate about ensuring access to quality science education for all students. She has been involved in developing resources and strategies to support elementary science education, including the Elementary Science Workshop, which helps school administrators assess and improve science instruction in their schools.1
