John Ehlers

John Ehlers is a highly qualified and experienced emergency management professional with a wide range of skills and expertise. With a master's degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness from Virginia Commonwealth University, Ehlers has worked in various roles related to emergency response, public health, and drone technology. As the Program Manager for COVID-19 Healthcare Settings at the Chicago Department of Public Health, he is currently playing a pivotal role in the fight against the pandemic.

Before joining the Chicago Department of Public Health, Ehlers was the Emergency Response Director and Director of COVID-19 Community-Based Testing at Simple Laboratories. He has also worked as the Flight Operations Manager and Production Manager at DroneUp, which provides on-demand drone services to businesses and governments. Moreover, he has been a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University and an Intern at the Norfolk Department of Emergency Preparedness and Response, where he worked on special projects, resource analysis, and creative design.

Ehlers has also served as the Deputy Commissioner of Revenue at the Commissioner Of The Revenue and Legislative Assistant at Virginia House of Delegates, Daun Hester. Furthermore, he has owned and operated Innov8ive 1 Productions/Aerial Virginia, where he offered his services as a senior emergency management consultant, sUAS chief pilot, and director of photography.
