Henrik Werdelin
Henrik Werdelin is a Danish entrepreneur, investor, and advisor with extensive experience in the startup scene. He is the co-founder of BARK, the company behind BarkBox, a monthly box of toys and treats for dogs. He is also a founding partner of Prehype, a venture development firm that runs programs for established companies such as NewsCorp, Diageo, Nike, and Lego, where they teach applied entrepreneurship and incubate new ventures.
Henrik's background includes being an Entrepreneur in Residence at Index Ventures and working with, advising or investing in startups such as HotPotato (now Facebook), GoTryItOn (now Rent the Runway), ReadMill (now Dropbox), and Sunrise (now Microsoft). Henrik was also the Vice President of Product Development and Strategy for MTV Networks International, spearheading the development of many of MTV's award-winning products.
Henrik recently authored The Acorn Method, a book about how companies can grow in an ever-changing environment. He is a frequent speaker at top-tier business schools, and his expertise includes corporate innovation, product design, and entrepreneurship. Silicon Alley Insider named him one of the "100 People in Tech," and industry magazine Fast Company included him among the "Top 100 most Creative."
Henrik studied Social and Political Science at Aalborg University and Journalism at the University of Westminster. He currently lives in the US with his family.
