But I can help with tools and strategies.I provide the only existing directory of language schools in Rome where I collect reviews from current and former teachers.  I also offer digital products that help TEFL teachers build their own teacher entrepreneurship, build a strong professional network, and tap into a myriad of resources to connect with potential clients.

I was committed to the growth, engagement, and branding of the Nearpod community for schools and teachers.  I designed strategy, wrote copy, and advised a team of in-house and remote designers.  My major accomplishments were:- Designing a data dashboard that first allowed for analysis of baseline data, then allowed me to track campaigns to inform strategic planning.  - Greatly expanding the marketing collateral to brand and grow the program I managed- Working with sales, product, and customer success to integrate a touchpoint of the community in every stage of the customer journey.  - This all resulted in 235% of community growth within a 7-month period.

I worked as an internal consultant across departments to help teams meet their objectives using tools, strategies, and processes.  My major accomplishments were:- Establishing and scaling an online community for sharing resources and ideas.  I did this while I served as Interim Director for the world language department for 5 months.  - Designing and executing a social media strategy for 3 departments with writing copy and designing visuals- Answering common questions in a blog about the how and why of technology integration in education

The purpose of my work was to promote cross-cultural understanding through education. I taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses in international education.  This was both online and in-person settings.  I also conducted research on access to quality education for non-dominant groups in the United States and Germany. This research was carried out in conjunction with the program leader for international and intercultural education and the dean of the college of education.

I co-founded a business consultancy to service youth programs for underserved populations in Rio de Janeiro. This idea was born out of a great deal of passion, the considerable artistic talent that we witnessed, and the lack of project management, fundraising, and full-stack marketing.My major accomplishments were:- Increasing engagement and growing social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Orkut. - Designing a comprehensive website in English and Portuguese.- Translating a blog from Portuguese to English for international markets.- Increasing brand recognition through visual design, copywriting, and partnership building.- Conducting several fundraising campaigns that allowed for expansion in Rio de Janeiro.- Incorporating the business as a nationally recognized 501(c)3 in the United States.

Marketing Consultant

My main goal here was to teach history through a multiplicity of voices. I adapted the U.S. history curriculum to include non-dominant versions of history.  I also wrote and taught a curriculum on modern Latin American history, which was popular with the large Latin American immigrant student populations at the high schools where I taught.I also recognized a problem of student absenteeism, so I developed a website to serve as a content management system that allowed my students to participate in class no matter where in the world they were located. This increased student participation, accountability, and the number of students who got credit for my class.

History Teacher

I was one of the 4 initial members at the Center for Hemispheric Policy.  I was responsible for listening to the founders, converting their vision into strategies and processes, then managing a team of student interns to make sure projects were accomplished.I tested copy and design to establish templates for email marketing and partnership building.  I coordinated with event spaces to realize regular public events and private meetings for Latin American diplomats and business leaders to discuss geopolitics and international development.

Program Coordinator

I was as a sociological researcher and contributed to what later became the book “Making A Life In Multiethnic Miami.”  I used snowball sampling, and conducted over 50 semi-structured interviews in Spanish with immigrants from a myriad of Latin American countries.  I also assisted in Spanish-speaking focus groups of 10 or more people at a time.  I took notes and transcribed the sociological issues that were discussed.

I taught 2 levels of high school Spanish language and culture to both native and non-native speakers.  I also mentored the ESOL student population, and led the immigrant support committee to aid the adaptation process of the large immigrant population at the school.

I taught 5 levels of English to adults, adolescents, and children in a private school, office setting, and the Italian Ministry of Defense.  I navigated this job speaking both Italian and English, and got a lot of excellent experience with cross-cultural communication.

This role was a combination of sales development specialist, account executive, and customer success manager.  This gave me experience in lead qualification, closing deals, nurturing accounts, and renewing contracts.  I managed nearly 200 accounts, and was the only tour consultant in the company to manage accounts and close deals in both Spanish and English.
