Sr. Director, Technology & Customer Experience

Led digital team team of 100+ developers, designers, and analysts delivering digital business solutions across all business units across the Land O'Lakes enterprise.

• E-Commerce Transformation: led enterprise e-commerce strategy; implemented an enterprise e-commerce platform (Cloud Craze) and implemented four e-commerce projects in 2017 in the B2B, B2C and B2B2C spaces to open new channels of growth.
• Digital Marketing Transformation: served as chief architect of the digital market transformation initiative for the implementation of the marketing technology stack including CRM, marketing automation, content management and analytics platforms.
• Customer Experience Program: led implementation of Salesforce based customer experience platform consisting of new CloudCraze B2B e-commerce platform, Salesforce Community and Service Cloud resulting in sales growth and cost efficiencies.
• Marketing Analytics Dashboard: led the implementation of a AI-based marketing analytics platform leveraging Hortonworks and Datorama creating new insights for the marketing team to render better decisions and optimize marketing capital.
• Sales and Marketing AI/Big Data: led implementation of AI-based sales propensity model for Dairy Foods Food Service business prioritizing sales opportunities in Salesforce resulting in increased sales efficiency and revenue.

IT Director, Digital Enablement

Assumed ownership of all company portal and web technologies. Grew team capacity while 
simultaneously driving down blended rate by 18 developers to 60+ on development resources. 
Developed enterprise cloud strategy and our consolidation to Salesforce and Azure clouds. Drove the 
cloud implementation in the marketing space resulting in an almost entirely cloud based architecture 
composed of SaaS tools and Azure PaaS services.

•	Aggressively campaigned and won acceptance for company to embrace Agile methodology; created a mock-up of the workings of an Agile team and delivered a compelling presentation to the finance department on the team’s benefits to bottom line health.
•	Established trust and collaboration with a once broken relationship with our marketing partners; established Land O’Lakes as the go-to IT partner for marketing needs. 
•	Significantly improved IT footprint for marketing systems by driving standardization of platforms; consolidated the sprawling set of systems to standardized Land O’Lakes-owned platforms.

Sr. IT Manager, Web & User Experience

Managed ten application development resources covering all work assignments and human resource 
Management responsibilities. Acted as solution architect and technical project manager for many key 
application development initiatives.

Led software selection, build and implementation of new company intranet (SharePoint 2013).

•	Led software selection and implementation of new CMS platform for marketing web sites.
•	Served as campus captain, leading all IT recruiting efforts from the University of Minnesota.

IT Manager, Web Development

Led a group specialized in delivering custom business applications leveraging .NET and mobile 
technologies. Managed eight development resources covering all work assignments and human 
resource management responsibilities. Established and led IT innovation program, a cross-functional 
group responsible for innovation opportunity identification, investigation and prototyping.

Established a mobile Development center of excellence offering mobile development services for the enterprise; developed mobile technology strategy, coding standards, architecture, skill requirements and training plans.

•	Revamped team composition increasing team throughput and efficiency by thinning out team and augmenting with lower cost offshore resources. Retooled staff members to function as technical leads mobilizing development resources.
•	Led tools and analytics work stream while transitioning IT services to offshore vendor; delivered the necessary tools, process and reports to support operations and report on SLA metrics.
•	Directed application retirement/rationalization initiative reducing application portfolio from 200 applications to 100.

Boston Scientific

IT Manager, Custom Applications

Served as project lead for clinical system integrations to a new SAP instance.; shortly after the BSC 
acquisition of Guidant, company merged the two SAP systems; acted as lead for all systems in clinical 
IT, updated all systems interfaces and converted all master data within the systems (including 
downstream applications). Technical lead on multiple clinical systems including Clinical Trial 
Management system (Siebel, ASP), Electronic Data Capture (eRT), Preclinical data capture system 
(eRT, .NET), 

Recipient of the 2008 individual IT CIO Excellence Award, Recipient of the 2006 team IT CIO 
Excellence Award.

•	Architect and technical lead for clinical data warehouse including the design and implementation of an integrated data store of clinical system data and a reporting environment for end user reports.
•	Project lead and architect for a data management system for our Preclinical department. I led the design, construction and implementation of a data capture and reporting solution which provided short study configuration cycles and increased operational efficiency for the BSC Preclinical group.
•	Project lead and system architect for a CIO-driven initiative to rollout a decision support tool to aid in how IS performs project intake, prioritization, project management, project reporting and resource allocation.
•	Project lead on a data migration initiative, migrating seven years and approximately 30 studies of clinical trial data from five legacy applications into Siebel and Documentum clinical trial management systems.

Senior Software Developer

Served as project and development lead restructuring and streamlining of 3M Commerce Service’s 
Credit Card Service application from multiple cloned sites to a single data driven application. 
Collaborated with 3M division business representatives to design, develop and implement online B2C 
purchasing applications. Completed Six Sigma training which included execution of a project 
contributing to 28k in soft-savings to 3M.

Served as project and development lead creating employee online store generating more than $1M in 
sales the first year.
