Brian McCarthy

Brian McCarthy is an esteemed executive coach, faculty member, and former business professional with extensive experience in leadership, marketing, and sales. A graduate of the University of Washington, he earned his Phi Beta Kappa BA in History and Cum Laude MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Michael G. Foster School of Business. McCarthy is widely recognized for his expertise in coaching, teaching, and marketing strategy, having provided guidance to numerous business professionals and graduate students to achieve their organizational and career goals. He currently runs McCarthy Coaching, where he employs his comprehensive approach to listening, asking questions, discussing options, and developing and executing plans to leverage his clients' strengths and mitigate weaknesses. In addition to his coaching practice, he serves as an executive coach for MBA students and teaches Leadership, Marketing Strategy, Healthcare Marketing, Selling & Sales Leadership, and Business Communications for Leaders at the Portland State University Graduate School of Business, where he was also the recipient of a Cameron Professorship. McCarthy's professional background includes co-founding Walkbright and holding leadership roles in Sales & Marketing at Microsoft and as an Account Representative at IBM.
