Brian J Polen is an accomplished entrepreneur and founder of Brooklyn Kura. With a background in financial engineering and economics, Polen honed his expertise in fraud risk management, market risk management, and credit risk management during his tenure at American Express. He has also worked as a student researcher for New Century Capital Corporation and as an intern for American Express.

As the co-founder and president of Brooklyn Kura, Polen has led the teams responsible for establishing the first sake brewery in New York City since Prohibition.
