Brian Fry

Brian Fry is the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at GPE.earth, a company focused on sustainable energy solutions and ecosystem regeneration. He has a rich background as a tech entrepreneur, having launched several companies throughout his career, including RackForce, which was Canada’s first and largest cloud provider, and PodTech, which merged with Iris Energy in 2020 to create a sustainable Bitcoin mining business.

Fry began his journey in technology after an injury ended his aspirations as a professional ski racer. He enrolled in the Marketing Management program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 1984, where he was inspired to start his first tech company alongside his partner, who later became his wife. Over the past 35 years, he has played a significant role in shaping British Columbia's tech industry, serving in leadership positions such as Chair of Software BC and as a founding board member of the British Columbia Technology Industry Association.

In addition to his role at GPE.earth, Fry is also a strategic shareholder and evangelist for Iris Energy, where he advocates for the potential of rural industrial towns to become hubs for high-performance computing and clean energy solutions.
