Brendan O'Kane
Director of Ignatian Mission and Identity at Loyola Blakefield
Brendan O'Kane, a Loyola University Maryland alumnus, has worked tirelessly to make a mark in education. Throughout his career, he has had stints as an AmeriCorps volunteer, teacher, campus minister, director of mission and identity, and director of campus ministry. These different roles have enabled him to develop strong expertise in educational leadership, Jesuit mission and identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion, restorative justice, and spiritual direction.
Currently, Mr. O'Kane serves as the director of Ignatian mission and identity at Loyola Blakefield, where he collaborates with students, faculty, staff, administration, parents/guardians, trustees, and alumni to perpetuate the vision and philosophy of Jesuit education. He is also a member of the president's leadership team and leads the staff responsible for shaping all aspects of the spiritual formation for the community. His commitment to meeting people where they are, developing trust, and empowering students and adults to share their gifts with the community and the world make him an invaluable asset to any educational setting.
