Serve as lead architect and product owner for internal technology projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies, also leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Angular, Typescript, Node, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Semaphore CI, SCSS, HTML, Jira, Twilio, Mailgun, and Terraform. Produced, with Bryan Carmel, a feature documentary about a fictional character in the real world: a fake Indian guru who builds a following of real people and then unveils his true identity to them. Lead project from conception to exploitation, leading fund-raising, incorporation, budgeting, legal, hiring, insurance, story, and casting, through production, marketing and exploitation. Engaged Kino Lorber to distribute and Bond Strategy and Influence to help market the film. Theatrically released in over 40 markets in June 2012, and then digitally that Fall. Available on all major internet movie outlets. Winner: SXSW 2011: Best Documentary Feature, Audience Award; Napa Valley Film Festival: Best Documentary.

Pitched new and existing clients on offerings and tailored solutions.  Was able to save clients tens of thousands of dollars a month in keyword purchases while increasing their sales 40 to 50% through full-circle, automated bid-optimization based on true profit margins, including post-discount revenue per SKU. Built a creative boutique with two co-founders.  We specialized in comedy and branded- entertainment content. Produced and directed documentaries, commercials, music videos and digital series for brands including Google, AOL, Microsoft, Yahoo, American Express, Nokia, and Energizer, and cable networks HBO, Vh1, IFC, Comedy Central and ABC Family. Directed celebrity performers Nick Kroll, Joan Rivers, Mister T, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen, Jonathon Winters, Seth MacFarlane, Evander Holyfield, Spike Lee, Shaquille O'Neal, and Janeane Garofalo.  Also built software for our clients including Katy Perry (Flash, Actionscript 3.0), and Capital Records (LAMP stack).

Founded, with four co-founders, an e-commerce, CRM and “wine-club” web application service provider company to enable direct-to-consumer wine e-commerce. Served as lead software architect and technical executive. Engaged Fortune 500 clients like Diageo North America, Fosters, and 1-800-Flowers, as well as mom and pop vineyards. Grew company to over 200 clients and 25 employees with offices in Napa, California and New York City. Helped secure $8 million in Series B financing from Allegis Capital in 2006. Helped develop patent pending business processes to enable direct trade from Vineyard to Retailer across state lines, through automated electronic verification of retailer licenses, distributors, registered wine products and shipping carriers. Advocated regulatory acceptance and adoption of this B2B system among state alcohol control boards and other stakeholders. Tech stack: Java, Postgres, Tomcat, Apache, CSS, HTML, JS, shell scripts.

Served as lead software architect and the head of development for a botique web development shop, specializing in content management and e-commerce for medium sized businesses and not-for-profits. Created development infastructure, database abstraction libraries, and re-useable template architectures, using Java, JSP, XML/XSLT, CVS, Postgres, MySQL, Linux, Tomcat, mod_rewrite and Apache. Hired and maintained a staff of five software and interface engineers. Lowered the company’s cost-per deployment through code- reuse and a configuration-oriented architecture.
