BuildCentral, Inc.

Senior Research Associate

DUTIES:
Currently, conducts intensive online research for new development projects and enters them into the BuildCentral system. Works to develop relationships with US based developers and builders to improve data frequency and product visibility. Additionally, calls and emails project contacts to verify details and add missing data points. Responsible to update, projects with the most current information available. Strongly, demonstrates a solid understanding of the assigned product, BuildCentral products in general and displays a strict adherence to department style and formatting guidelines.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Conducts intensive online research for new development and construction projects across the United States consistently exceeding goals working on over 100 projects per week.

Research Associate

DUTIES:
Part of the innovative policy team, which conducted research and qualitative analysis specific to cliental. Produced high quality deliverables that effectively communicate the desired outcome.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Coauthored and led research for a playbook to support economic development in rural communities as a key contributor to a $550,000 federal grant.
- Researched and categorized financial strategies for more than 300 institutions pursuing higher education sustainability as part of a project team for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. 
- Conducted original interviews with higher education decision makers, crafted content, and assisted in the virtual hosting of a national town hall discussion bringing together over 50 students representing various underserved college populations. 
- Completed a 6 week professional development program with the Cicero Group, centered around data-driven consulting.

Senior Student Fellow

DUTIES:
Provided executive and clerical assistance to the Chairman of the Executive Appropriations Committee in the Utah House Representatives. Including oversight and management of appointments, constituent outreach, data collection and distribution, as well as in-depth analysis of current and past legislation.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Performed detailed analysis and developed summaries for more than 100 past and current bills.
- Participated in crafting the 2020 Utah state budget by organizing more than 100 funding requests.
- Managed the Representative’s schedule orchestrating over 75 meetings in a two month period.

Utah House of Representatives

Intern

DUTIES:
Responsible for coordinating and providing answers on behalf of the Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM) to the U.S. Government Accounting Office (GAO) and for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of inputs. As a repository for all Department-wide IRM-related statutes, executive orders, legal mandates, regulations, guidelines, etc., the Office personnel reviews proposed new Federal regulations, executive orders, and other Federal directives dealing with IT, cybersecurity, and other IT-related statutes and regulations as well as provided comments and interpretations, as appropriate. As an analyst I managed projects as directed by the Division Chief and oversaw the comprehensive review, development, coordination, and publication of GAO recommendations with IRM equities.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Crafted internal documentation that was distributed throughout the Information Resource Management Bureau.
- Obtained Secret level government clearance.

U.S. Department of State

Analyst Intern

DUTIES:
Processed cases regarding the Freedom of Information Act as part of the Department of State’s FOIA Surge Project. This project consisted of analyzing complex requests while maintaining clear communication with government and foreign agencies that had equities in relevant documents.

FOIA Analyst

DUTIES:
Worked for Congressman Chris Stewart as part of his staff researching complicated political issues, providing basic clerical work, and responding to constituents through clear verbal and written communication.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Researched policy issues and drafted responses to more than 3,000 constituent emails in a three month period.
- Gave more than 20 tours of the United States Capitol building. 
- Managed invoices and purchase orders of American flags within the constituency.

U.S. House of Representatives

Provided security both physical and virtual, basic tech support, performed equipment configurations, software updates, and monitored those systems.
