Brandon Long

Brandon Long is an experienced AV Preeminent-rated employee benefits attorney with a track record of representing regional and national clients, including large publicly-traded corporations and governmental entities. He is known for providing practical, creative solutions to complex problems and translating highly-technical concepts into understandable terms for executives, employees, and fellow legal professionals.
Currently, Brandon serves as an elected member of McAfee & Taft’s board of directors, where he previously led the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. He has also been actively involved in various industry organizations, holding advisory and leadership positions in the SouthWest Benefits Association, the Employee Benefits Institute of Kansas City, the American Bar Association, the Gulf Coast TE/GE Council, and the Oklahoma Board on Legislative Compensation. Additionally, he is a co-founder of the Oklahoma Employers Healthcare Alliance.
Brandon Long's legal journey began over 25 years ago when he started in the mailroom of a large law firm. While attending law school at night, he worked as a legal assistant and graduated at the top of his class. He has since practiced with prominent national and international law firms in Dallas and Washington D.C. before joining McAfee & Taft. Brandon holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
Brandon's educational background includes a Master of Laws (LLM) in Tax Law/Taxation from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, as well as studies in law at Oklahoma City University School of Law, accounting at the University of Central Oklahoma, and paralegal studies at Rose State College.
