Blaine Cook is a tech industry veteran who has worked at some of the most innovative and influential companies in the space. He is currently a Staff Engineer at Condé Nast, where he brings his expertise in social solutions to the fashion and lifestyle publisher. Previously, he co-founded Poetica Ltd, which aimed to revolutionize the way we collaborate on written works; was Head of Cloud Messaging at BT; and held senior engineering roles at Yahoo! Brickhouse, Twitter, Odeo Inc, Radical Designs, and NeoCode Software.

Cook studied at The University of British Columbia and completed an International Baccalaureate program. He is known for his contributions to open standards such as OAuth, and for his work on social media platforms like Twitter. Cook has ADHD and uses they/them pronouns.

In addition to his work at Condé Nast, Cook is interested in the intersection of technology and social issues. They tweet frequently about Indigenous culture and the environment, often from the mountains in unceded Sinixt territory.
