Billy Amen is a dedicated individual currently holding the position of Director of Operations at HYPE Athletics Community.
His journey began at a young age when he and his friend initiated efforts to uplift the community and bridge cultural divides, leading to the significant impact of assisting over 200,000 families through HYPE Athletics since its establishment.
Prior to his current role, Billy worked as a Special Education Para Professional in the Dearborn Public Schools, where he gained valuable experience in understanding challenges and overcoming obstacles.
With a strong focus on educating and empowering the youth, Billy has been actively involved in various community programs at HYPE Athletics, emphasizing learning, athletics, drug prevention, and community empowerment.
Engaging in a wide range of community initiatives, Billy has contributed to workshops, meetings, and forums with different organizations, addressing issues from underprivileged athletics to promoting understanding of the Muslim faith and Arab culture.
His extensive community involvement extends to serving on multiple boards and committees, including Islam Universal Youth Organization, Young Democrats of Michigan, Young Muslim Association, and various others, showcasing a deep commitment to community welfare.
With nearly two decades of experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting students within the Dearborn Public School District, Billy's roots in Dearborn run deep, with his family's legacy spanning three generations of alumni from the Dearborn Public Schools.
Through his multifaceted roles as an operations and engagement director at HYPE Athletics, a high-school coach, a substance abuse mentor, and a community organizer, Billy nurtures a close relationship with the youth, understanding their challenges both in and out of the educational realm.
His collaborative approach aims to strengthen the educational foundation by fostering unity among students, teachers, families, and the larger community.
