Bill Akright

Bill Akright is a highly accomplished and respected professional with a background in mathematics and industrial engineering. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1989 with a degree in Mathematics and went on to complete his Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University in 1994. Bill started his career in 1989 at Caterpillar, where he has held a variety of positions, including Parts Directional Trainee, Planning Analyst, Distribution Operations Supervisor, Project Engineer, Packaging Engineering Supervisor, Quality Manager, Program Manager, eProcurement Manager, and eProcurement Solutions Manager. Bill has been recognized for his contributions to the field, including a patent for a Packaging System & Process. Bill is also dedicated to mentoring and educating the next generation, serving as President of the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Technology (IMET) industrial advisory council at Bradley University, serving on the Caterpillar-Bradley Alliance team, and being a member of Bradley data science industry advisory council. In his free time, Bill enjoys playing in the church orchestra and serving with his wife in ministering to local college students.
