Benjamin Kellie

Benjamin Kellie is the Founder of The Launch Company, focusing on standardizing launch hardware and operations to address challenges in the New Space race. With a background in Mechanical Engineering including an MS from The Ohio State University and a BS from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Benjamin has a solid foundation in designing, testing, and operating launch systems.

At SpaceX, Benjamin led the development and operation of landing platforms for Falcon 9 rockets. He also served as a Launch and Test Engineer, overseeing fluid system development and launch operations. His role as Pad Lead Engineer for Flight 6 showcased his expertise in managing critical missions from conception to execution.

With a focus on micro/nano fluid mechanics during his MS program, Benjamin's research on graphene synthesis led to published work. His thesis on graphene deposition in a microcombustor illustrates his contributions to advanced materials research.

Benjamin's early career involved innovative projects like investigating arctic wind turbine viability and developing CubeSat prototypes for microgravity research. His involvement in the Alaskan Space Grant Program and the Student Rocket Project demonstrates a strong interest in hands-on aerospace engineering.
