Ben Terrett is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Hamilton Fraser Insurance Services (HFIS), having joined the company in March 2018. He is a Chartered Accountant, qualified in 1998, and has extensive experience in finance and insurance sectors.

Professional Background

Early Career: Ben began his career in provincial accountancy practices, focusing on various disciplines such as personal tax, audit, bookkeeping, and corporate tax.
Insurance Sector: He transitioned into the insurance industry after the introduction of general insurance regulation by the FSA in 2005. He initially set up the internal audit and compliance function for a general insurance underwriter and later became the Finance Director in 2012, overseeing finance, underwriting, pricing, and claims.1 2
Current Role: As CFO at HFIS, Ben is responsible for strategic financial oversight within the organization.

Personal Life

Ben resides in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with his family, which includes three children. One of his children is currently studying mathematics with investment banking at university. Outside of work, he is a long-time supporter of Luton Town Football Club and enjoys reading and golfing during the summer.1 2
