Ben Leonberg

Ben Leonberg is a talented filmmaker known for his work that often includes outdoor settings, fantastical elements, and stories of families overcoming challenges.

Growing up on a farm in South Jersey, Ben's passion for filmmaking started early, leading him to create movies on a VHS camera and eventually pursue formal education in film.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television Production from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, he continued his studies at the New Zealand Film Academy and later at Columbia University, where he obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film Directing and Screenwriting in 2012.

Currently serving as the Creative Director at YouVisit, Ben has been pivotal in developing the company's creative division, YouVisit Studios, specializing in virtual reality experiences that blend traditional cinematic techniques with interactivity, offering audiences immersive narrative experiences like never before.

Ben's innovative VR work has been recognized in various publications such as Adweek, Vogue, and Fortune, and has garnered accolades at prestigious events like SXSW and the Webby's.

With a diverse portfolio that includes narrative films showcased in numerous international festivals and featured in publications like Fangoria, Horror News Network, and Vice, Ben has established himself as a unique voice in the filmmaking industry.

In addition to his role at YouVisit, Ben has contributed to the academic world as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and has gained valuable experience in various film production roles at companies like Reelgrid Media, Reebok, and independent film projects in different countries.
