Ben Jones is an accomplished professional with a diverse and extensive background in data analytics, product marketing, and mechanical design engineering. He is the Co-Founder & CEO of Data Literacy, where he leads the delivery of onsite, virtual, and on-demand training programs aimed at helping people learn the language of data. Jones is also an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington, where he taught Data Visualization Theory and an Instructor of Data Visualization at UW Continuum College. He has written a book called the 'Avoiding Data Pitfalls' (Wiley, 2019) which makes data accessible to people with little to no technical background.
Before starting Data Literacy, Ben served as the Technical Evangelism Director, Director of Product Marketing, and Sr. Tableau Public Product Manager at Tableau Software, where he developed expertise in data analytics and developed User-Friendly data tools. Additionally, he has held various leadership roles at Medtronic Diabetes, including Lean Sigma Black Belt, Lean Sigma Master Black Belt, and Marketing Group Manager. Jones earned his BSME in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and MBA in Entrepreneurship from Cal Lutheran University.
