Roy is the Head of Bloomberg Beta, where he has the opportunity to build extraordinary technology, with special interest in machine intelligence companies.

Roy has an impressive educational background with a strong foundation, having studied at Abraham Joshua Heschel School, P.S. 87, and Stuyvesant High School. He then studied social studies at Harvard University and economics at Oxford University. He has taught media at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and he serves on the boards of the Center for Investigative Reporting.

He also worked as the Director of International Strategy at NYC2012 and the Senior Policy Director at the Office of the Mayor, New York City. As an associate at McKinsey & Co., Roy worked at the intersection of media, technology, and economics.
