Basma Khalaf

Basma Khalaf is a highly experienced professional in the semiconductor industry, with over 14 years of knowledge in ASIC Design Flow/Methodologies. She has expertise in design implementation, simulation, synthesis, DFT, GLS, and especially CDC and MPP design and linting. For the past five years, Basma has been leading a team of software developers who deliver RTL design tools in a central organization serving thousands of engineers and partnering with multiple EDA vendors. Her accomplishments include migrating the internal tool to EDA standards and redefining processes to take on new challenges.

Basma also has a passion for activism and social influence, promoting better inclusion of women and Arabs in the high-tech sector in Israel. To this end, she founded the initiative "Hiya (She)-Tech," which aims to increase Arab women representation in Israeli high-tech and leads other related activities.

Basma holds a B. sc in Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Previously, she held various positions at Intel Corporation, including Engineering Manager, CAD Tools Development and deployment team, Clock Domain Crossings, and MCP Project Level Owner, BE Design Engineer, and Software Developer of Physical Design Router.
