After obtaining his MSc in Biomedical Sciences with a major in epidemiology at Radboud University Nijmegen, Bart delved into various research and leadership roles at reputable institutions in the Netherlands and the United States.
His significant contributions include pioneering the first genome-wide association study of bladder cancer and co-authoring numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters.
Currently, Bart Kiemeney serves as the chair of the Department for Health Evidence and the scientific director of the Radboud Institute for Health Sciences at Radboudumc, Nijmegen, focusing on the clinical and genetic epidemiology of urological cancers.
