Barbara Sullivan
Executive Director at Village to Village Network
Barbara Hughes Sullivan is the Executive Director of the Village to Village Network (VTVN), a national association representing over 350 Villages in the United States and internationally. She was appointed to this position in June 2018.12 Sullivan has a background in business administration and marketing, having earned her BA from George Washington University. She has extensive experience in eldercare, having worked with the Paul Spring Retirement Community and holding a certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Board of Long-Term Care Administrators.1
Her career includes significant involvement in the Village movement, which supports seniors in staying in their homes. Sullivan served on the board of Mount Vernon At Home and later became its Executive Director. She has also been active in various community and professional boards, including the Mount Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Development Council.1
Sullivan has been recognized for her contributions to aging services, receiving awards such as the Pro-Aging Award and Citizen of the Year Award from the Mount Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce.1 She currently resides in Ventnor City, NJ.2
