Barbara Haya is an accomplished researcher and policy expert with a focus on effective and fair climate change policy. With a PhD in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley, Haya has conducted extensive research on carbon trading programs and offsetting, exploring both their design and outcomes. She employs qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the impact of policies within sectors they are implemented, with particular attention to climate and energy policies both in California and internationally. Haya has also worked as a research fellow at the California Institute for Energy and Environment, Stanford University, as a consultant at Union of Concerned Scientists and International Rivers, and as a graduate student researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and UC Berkeley.
