Barbara "Queen B" Dolan

Barbara Dolan is an accomplished Minnesota-born marketing professional and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the direct marketing, community building, and executive recruitment industries. Her career began at a boutique advertising agency in the Twin Cities, where she developed a passion for direct marketing and community engagement. Barbara cut her corporate teeth at Fingerhut and became an executive recruiter and consultant during the early days of Internet marketing. However, her values and personality didn't always fit the corporate mold, leading her to launch four small businesses of her own and mentor other entrepreneurs. In 2007, Barbara created Derby Lite, a fitness skating program based on the skills and drills of competitive women's roller derby. After downsizing Derby Lite in 2016, Barbara rejoined the law firm she helped launch in 2003 as a marketing manager, where she revamped their website, analyzed their databases, refreshed their branding, and developed a messaging strategy that emphasizes the value of existing clients and professional networks. Barbara's next adventure consists of taking her 1963 Airstream Bambi trailer on the road to meet elderly women and record their stories for her new project, The Crones Project.
