I currently serve as a Managing Director of the a2 Collective and Head of Marketing and Business Development.

The a2 Collective represents the National Institute on Aging’s (NIA) Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratories for Aging Research (AITC) program -- which is dedicated to helping Americans live longer, better through the application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. The a2 Collective is comprised of three AITC Collaboratories centered at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Massachusetts, and the University of Pennsylvania.

The a2 Collective hosts a $40M annual national pilot competition called the a2 Pilot Awards which seeks to fund transformative AI technology pilot projects that will improve the care and health outcomes for older Americans, including persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD). Successful projects may be selected for multi-year commitments and be more competitive for follow-on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding. Pilot awardees may also receive access to the study sites, data sets, and resources at each AITC as well as mentorship from industry and university experts, major healthcare systems, and venture capitalists.

As a project manager and staff consultant for multiple projects, I provided guidance for key company-wide initiatives, introducing plans and program administration to build consensus across functional areas, establish benchmarks, and monitor and report results.

- Xerox Corporation: Conducted a strategic analysis for a $1.8BLN division of XEROX, leading to a redesign of the division’s business model and organization.
- NPR’s Marketplace Radio: Guided executive management in redesigning the strategy and organization, leading to a partial sale to Minnesota Public Radio.  Restructured and streamlined internal processes between engineering and editorial.
- USC School of Cinema & Television: Collaborated with the Production Division to redesign the organization and curriculum to focus on the growing importance of new media and Internet.
- USC General Alumni Association: Created a strategy that facilitated agreement between University President, Deans, Board of Trustees, Alumni Board of Governors and Alumni staff.
